ME & HIM: A Guide to Recovery aids Suicide Prevention

Living is So BIG, an international suicide prevention website published ‘From MADNESS to Recovery’ the story behind my tell-all memoir ME & HER: A Memoir Of Madness and self-help book ME & HIM:A Guide to Recovery.

5% of the sales of ME & HIM will go directly to Black Dog Institute for research into suicide prevention and depression.

I, Karen Tyrrell have come so far from a bullied stressed-out teacher, screaming out with night terrors.

I became manic and psychotic, escaping to a lonely motel. Police discovered me, incarcerating me into a frightening psychiatric ward.

I’m so proud to be a mental health advocate able to help others on their journey to RECOVERY.

How did Living is So BIG  kick-start?

Living is So BIG project began after Christopher Agudo tried to commit suicide. His Mum, Illiana and his Dad, Jesus pleaded for the world to offer reasons and inspiration for their son to live.

The Living is So BIG team now goes into schools, universities and businesses teaching life appreciation and suicide prevention. They’re seeking inspirational stories that will motivate others to LIVE a happy, fulfilling life.
LISB published ‘From MADNESS to Recovery’ on their website…Here’s a snippet.

“My name is Karen Tyrrell, Australian survivor of mental illness.
When I was a teacher, parents at my school harassed me every day until I could take no more. I screamed out with night terrors and became Manic. Police incarcerated me into a psychiatric hospital.
I wrote ME & HER: A Memoir Of Madness and ME & HIM:A Guide to Recovery, sharing my recovery and wellness tips…”

  • Please tell more on this site about the real issue. Say what the sign are when people become suicidal, depressed etc. Selling the book must be as a result of getting help, and not about needing to get help. Going to a friend must be the first option, not to a professional.

  • Hi Michael, Thanks very much for coming onto my website and sharing your valuable insights. I’ve added a list of warning signs. Could you please check and see if you agree … Many thanks, Karen 🙂
