Why I Resigned as Coordinator Logan City Writers Collective

It is with great personal regret that I advise that I am stepping down from the role of coordinator of Logan City Writers Collective, a group I’ve nurtured from its first inception. Thanks for your friendship and support over the last three years.

I am proud and happy to have made some small contribution in reaching our collective goal of promoting Logan City Writers in our Community. I intend to remain an active member of Logan City Writers Collective and pledge to support all of our future endeavors.

I will now devote my time, passions and energies to publishing my mental health books, to motivational speaking, to presenting workshops and being a mental health advocate.

I will pour all my resources into launching Me and Him: a Guide to Recovery atΒ  Logan North Library and

Blackcat Brisbane πŸ™‚

Hope you understand …

Please wish me luck … with much love Karen xx πŸ™‚

PSΒ  Rebecca Dobbie will be acting coordinator until the final selection is made.

Yes Karen, I can fully understand your reason for stepping down from the challenging role of Co-ordinator to concentrate more on your efforts to publishing your second book “Me and Him: A Guide to Recovery, as well as your other demanding roles as motivational speaker for mental health issues. However, you don’t need to be wished the best of luck Karen, just all best wishes for your new and exciting endeavors xx
PS: You might just need to make a slight alteration on your website though… you have inadvertently written the title of your second book as: Me and Her, rather than as Me and Him above, but don’t fret, I knew what you meant, you obviously have quite a lot on your mind Karen xx

  • Thanks Heather, I knew you would understand. Thanks too for your friendship and support over the last three years … Karen πŸ™‚

    Hi Karen,
It takes courage to ‘let go’ of your baby and leave it in the hands of others. I know you didn’t make the decision lightly.
There is only so much a person can take on and it is very liberating to say NO!
I look forward to your book launch and will be there to cheer you on.
    Blessings,
    Jan x

  • Its always so hard tolet go of a project and group you have nurtured and loved as much as you have with this one. You can sleep easy knowing that the momentum you have created with your enthusiasm and passion, will be continued.
Take a bow and a breath.. congratulations on the decision and for all your hard work

  • Thanks Annie for stopping by your very kind and generous words of support…It was very difficult letting go .. But I’m looking forward to the future. Good luck with your writing endeavours too πŸ™‚

  • Thanks Jan, for understanding the pressures on me and supporting my decision. Much love xx … Karen πŸ™‚
