In 2017, Karen Tyrrell (that’s me) won an Arts Queensland grant for a children’s picture book.

Who’s the team behind the Arts Queensland Book?

Aaron Pocock illustrated over 20 breathtaking illustrations of Yana and Bunji interacting with Logan’s urban green environment and innovative technologies. Aaron has illustrated over 250 children’s books, created fine art and even designed a set of mythical creature stamps for Australia Post.
Anthony Puttee from Book Cover Café designed this inventive book and the front cover based on Aaron’s illustrations.
Kev Webb, wildlife photographer, shot incredible photos to inspire Aaron’s artwork.

What a wonderful way to help put Logan City on the world map. The cover looks colorful, bright and intriguing, I’m guessing the kids have virtual reality glasses on and are looking at places?
Logan needs a children’s book like this to help kids identify with the region they live in. Long time needed for new families to Logan and even families that have lived here and never explored their own city.
I cannot wait for the launch and to see the complete book.
