It was a fantastic experience researching for this book. Traveling to the outback and talking to the men, women and children was humbling and motivating. We in the city cannot fathom the hardship country people face with environmental disasters, particularly drought. I hope our book helps children learn more about drought and what they can do to help. Congratulations Karen for writing this lovely book!
My kids have read all four of your Song Bird books and are so excited you have launched Drought Rescue. Not only do they love reading the books, my nine year old uses the information in the book for school projects. My seven year old loves how Rosie always beats nasty Destructo in the end. They asked me to ask you … to keep writing Song Bird books!… Maria x
