WOOHOO! My mental health picture book for KIDS will be launching soon.
I’ve collaborated with a super talented children’s illustrator to create a picture book empowering children, families and classrooms.
I’m so excited I could burst!!
My personal story…
As a school teacher, parents repeatedly harassed me until I could take no more.
I developed jaw clenching anxiety and screaming night terrors, symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
After intensive therapy, I returned to my beloved class, teaching my students resilience skills.
I wrote my tell-all journey, ME & HER: A Memoir of Madness and my self-help book ME & HIM: A Guide to Recovery.
I made my vow to return to schools on TV Today Tonight program Violence in Schools (May 27), not as a teacher but as a mental health author.
I wish to present creative writing workshops using my expertise as a gifted and talented class teacher.
All to spring board empowering discussions on how children can become MORE resilient.
I’m passionate about mental health for children as an author and speaker. I can’t wait to get back into the classroom to share my picture book with kids.
And MOST importantly help children and their families.
Please Stay Tuned… I’ll be announcing the title and the front cover soon.
Please spread the word about this resource for parents, teachers, psychologists, counselors and social workers.
