- Edens Landing State School invited me to read JOSH AND THE IT to a class of grade fivers for their SPACE theme. Closely I watched the children’s reactions learning first hand which scenes they enjoyed the most. I rewrote the food scenes and humorous scenes, amping them to the max. This experience became valuable market research.
- I was a Featured Artist” at the RADF Showcase at Logan Art Gallery. I handed out JOSH AND THE IT postcards.
- I completed the sibling sequel JOSH VS. LORD TERRA, BOOK 2 of the SUPER SPACE KIDS series.
- I read BOOK 2, JOSH VS. LORD TERRA, to the Junior Book Club at Logan North Library, part of their Sci-Fi Month activities. Kids come in costume for the chance to win Prizes.
- I’m a member of Vision Writers, a dynamic online and face-to-face group, supporting Brisbane’s and Australia’s Speculative Fiction writers. We meet once a month at Brisbane State Library to support each other and critique each others work.
- I’m a member of SCBWI Queensland childrens’ writers group plus an online YAHOO children’s writers critique group. I have a Diploma in Primary Teaching with over 20 years experience in children’s literature.

Hi Karen, My Nano novel this year was a junior Sci-Fi The first in the series being ‘Strangeway’s Choice – A Gruesome Flag’ Book two and three will be ‘Strangeway’s Stand – Wolves’ and ‘Strangeway’s Mind Ship’
They are on hold at the moment though. While I edit my chapter book ‘Paper Magic’
